Trasheda K. Toliver

The foundation of Trasheda’s career began early in life as she worked during the summer months of my high school years in a local mental health clinic. I am and always have been the individual whom others came to for the opportunity to discuss circumstances that were taking place in their lives.

Trasheda has over 22 years of experience in working in the Mental Health Field. She served on the Board of Directors for the Minden Chamber of Commerce for three years, She served on the Board of Directors for a Local Mental Health Rehab in our community, She is a Lifetime Member of Cambridge Who's Who among Entrepreneurs, She served as a Mentor for a Girl's Mentoring Program Called "Project Empowerment", She serves as the Vice President of My Church's Pastor's Aide Committee, She served as the Armor Bearer for her Past Pastor for over 6 years, She is a Certified American Red Cross CPR Instructor, She is a member of the American Counseling Association, She is a member of Shreveport Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated, and the proud mother of one daughter.

Mrs. Toliver is a lifelong Native of Louisiana where she currently resides. She’s a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Monroe where she received a Bachelor of Art in Psychology. She later went on to further her education at the University of Louisiana-Monroe by pursuing a Master of Art in Community Counseling. After graduation, she obtained a position at an Outpatient Mental Health Facility where she quickly climbed the ladder of success being promoted from a Mental Health Specialist to Assistant Administrator.   God allowed Trasheda to find her true calling and career path for her life very early. After years of serving in this position, Christ led her back to her hometown of Minden, Louisiana to begin a Personal Care Attendant/ Supportive Independent Living Agency.

In May of 2008, after following and listening to the Directives of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ she birthed Matters of the Heart of North Louisiana. Matters of the Heart is founded and operated daily on Christian principles.  For over 16 years, Trasheda has dedicated countless hours of time and work into having Matters of the Heart to be all that Christ called it to be.

To further her educational background, Trasheda went back to college and obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Trasheda is a very self-driven, well-rounded, career-oriented individual who prides herself on making a positive impact in the lives of others. She has a passionate desire in assisting and helping others work through their life issues and become the best individual they can.
